About Us
MedX Rehab was created as a division of Govsphere, Inc. to focus on the design, development, implementation, maintenance, and sustainment of modern, secure, and reliable software for the MedX Medical Lumbar Extension, Cervical Extension, Cervical Rotation, and Torso Rotation machines. Built on industry standards that facilitate interoperability with external software applications and information systems, the MedX Rehab software platform includes both a client software program that communicates directly with each MedX machine and a secure, web-based Clinician portal with built-in roles and permissions that allows authorized users to access patient information from any connected device including desktop and laptop computers, tablets, and smartphones. Furthermore, MedX Rehab includes access to Govsphere’s Enterprise Help Desk, which provides technical support, MedX machine troubleshooting, remote assistance, and software updates.
Our Story
Creating a New, Modern, Reliable, and Secure Software Platform for MedX Medical machines

In 2017, the MedX Corporation engaged Govsphere to develop new software for the MedX Medical Lumbar & Cervical Extension machines that would be fully integrated into Govsphere’s VITAL Telehealth platform. Known as MedX Rehab, the new software application was designed to replace the obsolete MedX DOS and MedXWin software programs that were no longer compatible with modern computing standards. Prior to developing the new software, Govsphere conducted a thorough and comprehensive review of the legacy MedX DOS and MedXWin software programs while identifying the functional and technical requirements and capabilities supported by each software program. Once all of the software requirements were clearly documented, Govsphere proceeded to build an entirely new MedX Rehab software program based on modern industry standards and best practices.
Govsphere also designed MedX Rehab software to be compatible with all versions of MedX Medical machines in order to leverage the existing investments that MedX customers have made in the purchase and ongoing use of their machines. Furthermore, Govsphere implemented new security standards and protocols designed to protect personally identifiable information (PII) and patient health information (PHI) in accordance with the regulations identified in the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH) Act. In fact, MedX Rehab is the only software platform that is HIPAA compliant and satisfies all HITECH requirements.
In addition, Govsphere implemented a number of functional and technical software enhancements designed to streamline clinical workflow and increase the operational efficiency of the MedX Medical Lumbar Extension & Cervical Extension machines. For example, the introduction of a web-based Clinician Portal allows any authorized user to enroll new patients and generate reports from any device with an Internet connection. In addition, the introduction of unique patient logins allows each patient’s vital information to be separately stored and encrypted while also enabling data synchronization across multiple MedX machines. As a result, MedX Rehab is the most advanced, innovative, and secure MedX software platform available.

By combining a modern Windows software application that dynamically collects diagnostic and performance information from MedX Medical Machines in real-time with a secure, web-based Clinician Portal that streamlines data aggregation, analysis, and reporting, the MedX Rehab platform assists clinicians in monitoring the isolation and strengthening of lower back and neck muscles through the use of isometric testing and dynamic exercises.
Today, more than 90 MedX customers utilize Govsphere’s MedX Rehab software program in production environments throughout the United States and abroad while supporting more than 6,000 unique patients and 21,000 patient sessions each month.
